Remove broken spoke. 1. REMOVE BROKEN SPOKE
Unscrew the nipple from the broken spoke (be careful the nipple doesn't disappear back inside the rim!), or replace the nipple with the one supplied in the Emergency Spoke kit if the original one is damaged or of a different size.

Tension Emergency Spoke. 5. TENSION EMERGENCY SPOKE.

Nearly finished!. 6. NEARLY FINISHED!
Tie the loose end of the cord securely.
If Emergency Spoke is left in place for extended periods, re-check the tension and condition before each ride.
